2022 LB Domanick Moon Seeing Recruitment Take Flight

2022 Snider (Ind.) linebacker Domanick Moon‍ worked with a small group of linebackers at the Traction Athletic Performance Midwest Exposure Camp on Saturday, but he left an impression. 

The 6-foot-2, 225-pounder was able to show why Power Five programs are recruiting him throughout the day.

"It felt like I'm getting back into it," Moon said of the camp. "I'm just getting a feel for it - working on my eyes, hips and what routes they were going to run and what they were going to try to fake me with." 

Cincinnati, Syracuse and Toledo have offered the rising 2022 prospect while Boston College, Florida State, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State and Purdue are also recruiting him. 

Moon is grateful for the early offers, but it doesn't mean he's satisfied. 

"I'm very thankful," stated Moon. "I feel like I've worked very hard and I'm thankful it's showing off. I hope to get more from my hard work." 

Notre Dame is a program Moon hopes to continue to hear from and he's been in contact with his area recruiter, Mike Elston.

"I've been talking with Coach Elston and I hope to visit once this Covid-19 stuff goes away," explained Moon. "He likes the way I play and my character. He knows my brother, so that's a good connection." 

Elston has also impressed Moon as he's been frank with the Snider star. 

"I like his character and how he's upfront," stated Moon. "He tells you what you want to know and he won't lie to you about anything."

If Notre Dame offered, it'd be a dream come true for Moon.

"It's my dream school," smiled Moon. "It’s been my dream school since I was a little kid. It'd mean a lot to me." 

In addition to it being his dream school, Moon knows quite a bit about the program and has already been on campus as well. 

"It's a beautiful campus and football stadium," said Moon. "I've played travel baseball on their baseball field."
