2022 Governor Mifflin (Pa.) running back Nicholas Singleton‍ ran wild last fall. The four-star prospect rushed for 1,690 yards and 32 touchdowns and the scholarship offers quickly followed.

The Pennsylvania native has around 30 offers from the top programs in the country. Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, South Carolina and Wisconsin seem to be the schools coming the hardest and that includes a conversation with Lance Taylor this week.

"It went good," Singleton told Irish Sports Daily. "We were catching up with how it was at Notre Dame and over here."

The relationship between the two sides is growing and Taylor's personality has impressed Singleton and his family.

"He's really mature and the stuff he tells me is - I don't know how to explain it," stated Singleton. "He's nice and speaks highly of me. He's just a really good person. I can tell he's a really good coach."

Notre Dame and Taylor haven't dished out a ton of running back offers in 2022 just yet, but it's been made clear to Singleton he's high on the board.

"He told me I'm the main priority in 2022 for Notre Dame," said Singleton. "That really hit home with me."

Ohio State is another program to watch as Tony Alford has been in steady communication with the Governor Mifflin star.

"It's really good," Singleton said of his relationship with Alford. "We talk two days a week. He's really thinking about me and excited for me. I need to get up to campus."

It might be early in his recruitment, but Singleton is looking at the finer details of each program.

"I want to go to a school that produces good running backs," explained Singleton. "That's been a focus of mine when looking at schools.

"Academics are the most important. I want to have a good relationship with the coaches and the football team itself."

Singleton might narrow things down in the coming months, but he's not feeling pressured to make a decision.

"A commitment date, I think it will be sometime during my senior year," Singleton said. "I think I might narrow my list down after my season if we have a season."

Recruiting might be heating up for Singleton, but don't think he's taking it easy this offseason.

"The last lift I did was 325 on power clean, so that's probably my best lift," said Singleton. "On bench, I haven't maxed bench, but it's over 315 right now."
