Notre Dame QB Ian Book Named to Maxwell Award Watch List

Notre Dame quarterback Ian Book has been named to the Maxwell Award Watch List, which goes to the College Football Player of the Year.
It's another watch list for Book as he was named to the Davey O'Brien Award watch list earlier this month.
In 2019, Book threw for 3,034 yards, 34 touchdowns and six interceptions. Book's completion percentage did fall from 68.2 percent to 60.2 percent, but the Notre Dame will gladly take 15 more touchdowns and one less interception.
Book was also the first quarterback in Notre Dame history with at least 2,500 passing yards, 500 rushing yards and 30 TD passes in a season. Former Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts was the only other FBS quarterback to achieve that feat last season.
