Cole Mabry, Isaiah Robertson and Trevor Speights Take Medical Scholarship
Through multiple sources, ISD has learned that redshirt junior Cole Mabry will go on medical scholarship following a tough battle with several injuries.
In addition to Mabry, Notre Dame announced receiver Isaiah Robertson and running back Trevor Speights will also go on medical scholarship.
Mabry made his collegiate debut in 2019 as Mabry got his first snaps against New Mexico. A native of Brentwood (Tenn.) had spent time working at right tackle during his time at Notre Dame.
He was expected to be competing for a spot in the two-deep to back up right tackle Robert Hainsey in 2020.
Robertson did not see action in 2019 after playing in six games in 2018. The 6-foot-1, 204-pounder played in 12 games as a freshman in 2017 and tied for eighth with four special teams tackles. He was not listed on the 2020 spring roster on UND.com.
Speights had a short career at Notre Dame as he chose to graduate transfer from Stanford this spring. The Texas native ran for 363 yards and one touchdown during his career at Stanford.
