2020 Notre Dame Football Schedule Announced
The ACC conference schedule is out and that means Notre Dame has opponents and dates of games for the 2020 football season.
As previously reported, Notre Dame will play 10 ACC games this year and the Irish will be eligible for the ACC Championship Game in 2020. The ACC will determine who plays in the ACC Championship Game by winning percentage.
Here’s a look at the schedule.
Date | Opponent | Location | Time |
Sept. 12 | Duke | Notre Dame | TBD |
Sept. 19 | Western Michigan | Notre Dame | TBD |
Sept. 26 | Wake Forest | Charlotte | TBD |
Oct. 10 | Florida State | Notre Dame | TBD |
Oct. 17 | Louisville | Notre Dame | TBD |
Oct. 24 | Pittsburgh | Pittsburgh | TBD |
Oct. 31 | Georgia Tech | Georgia Tech | TBD |
Nov. 7 | Clemson | Notre Dame | TBD |
Nov. 14 | Boston College | Boston College | TBD |
Nov. 27 | North Carolina | North Carolina | TBD |
Dec. 5 | Syracuse | Notre Dame | TBD |
Western Michigan will be the non-conference game and that means Navy will not play Notre Dame after 93 straight seasons.
The Clemson game will stay the same as the Tigers will head to a somewhat cold South Bend the first week of November.
A trip to North Carolina will be interesting as Notre Dame will play the Tar Heels on a Friday, but it’s the day after Thanksgiving. The good news: Notre Dame will have a bye week before the North Carolina trip, but keep in mind, bye weeks could potentially be used to make up games as well.
Looking at the big picture, Clemson lost its bye week before Notre Dame as they will host Boston College. Clemson will also travel to Virginia Tech on December 5th, which could be interesting from a weather standpoint.
