Notre Dame OL John Olmstead Enters Transfer Portal

According to multiple sources, ISD has learned Notre Dame offensive lineman John Olmstead has entered the Transfer Portal. 

The 6-foot-5, 283-pounder did not see the field as a freshman in 2019. 

Olmstead chose the Irish over Michigan, Minnesota, Ole Miss and Rutgers while holding offers from Florida, Florida State, LSU, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State and many others. 

The New Jersey native figured to be in competition to earn a spot in Notre Dame's two-deep in 2020. 

Olmstead was part of the 2019 class that featured Quinn Carroll, Zeke Correll and Andrew Kristofic. 

As always, once a player enters the Transfer Portal, they can remove their name from it as well.
