2017 tight end commit Brock Wright hosted his future position coach last week for an in-home visit, but on Monday, Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly made his way to the Wright household.
The four-star prospect and his family had some questions for Kelly and they got them all answered.
“He answered all of our questions for sure,” Wright told Irish Sports Daily. “His message was really about just getting excited, ready for the offseason and starting to prepare for the future.”
“I’m not worried about that,” Wright stated. “Sounds like he will be there and he wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”
Having the head coach of Notre Dame come to your school is a big deal, but it’s an even bigger deal when he shows up at your house. Wright’s family was more than fired to host Kelly, which included some Texas cooking.
“My dad cooked some steaks and my mom made some salad and baked potatoes," said Wright. “It was my sister’s first time to meet him and I could tell she was geeking out a little. She had to take a picture with him and everything. Everyone was so excited.”

It was impossible to hide from the rumors surrounding Kelly over the last week and the Wright’s had questions about those. Kelly addressed the situation with the 6-foot-4, 250-pounder and the rest of his family on Monday evening. “I’m not worried about that,” Wright stated. “Sounds like he will be there and he wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”
