Notre Dame football coach Brian Kelly discussed roster management challenges on Thursday afternoon. 

The NCAA granted an extra year of eligibility due to the COVID pandemic and while the roster can have over 85 scholarships next year, the planning for 2022 also starts as recruiting for the junior class is in full swing. 

Kelly also gave his thoughts on mental health as running back Jahmir Smith decided to step away from the football team this week.
