Season Review: Linebacker

I don't know any other way to describe the year at linebacker at Notre Dame other than to say it was a transition year. When you lose the Butkus Award winner and the most talented, and possibly the best, linebacker in school history, of course there is going to be a drop off the next year.

That and losing the Mike linebacker from the previous season made it a transition year. Throw in a defensive coordinator switch 1/3 of the way through and there were a lot of changes going on.
