Pitt’s offense is bad. Without their starting quarterback, they were worse than that.

That needs to be said off the top because what happened on defense for Notre Dame was not unexpected given the opponent. 3.1 yards per play against is outstanding. 22.6% Havoc Rate is as well. Not allowing Pitt to reach the red zone is as close to perfect as you can get.

That said, it was expected because Pitt is a one-dimensional offense and was missing their most important player.
