Notre Dame OL Tommy Kraemer Expected to Miss North Carolina
Notre Dame's offensive line took another blow this weekend as starting right guard Tommy Kraemer had to have an appendectomy done, according to a source. Tim Prister was the first to report.
We're told Kraemer was in and out of the hospital within hours and was walking around on Saturday fine.
No. 2 Notre Dame will be without him for Friday’s game at North Carolina as he recovers, but if all goes to plan, the expectation is he'll be able to start practice next Monday and then move into contact Wednesday or Thursday of Syracuse week.
Jeff Quinn will have his work cut out for him this week as starting center Jarrett Patterson is out for the year and now he'll need to find a replacement at guard.
Kraemer's injury will likely lead to Zeke Correll starting at center and Josh Lugg or Dillan Gibbons getting the nod at right guard.
