Notre Dame Sets Sunday Game with Detroit Mercy
It's been a process, but Notre Dame men's basketball has scheduled a game for this weekend.
The Fighting Irish will host Detroit Mercy on Sunday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Purcell Pavilion.
Notre Dame had lost three previously scheduled games with Purdue Fort Wayne, Tennessee and Western Michigan due to COVID situations at those respective programs.
Sunday's contest will be the 55th game between the two programs and Notre Dame has a comfortable 42-12 series lead.
Notre Dame and Detroit Mercy played a year ago, with the Irish winning 110-71. The Irish had six players in double-figures, with Dane Goodwin leading the way with 27 points.
The Irish enter the game 0-1 while Detroit Mercy opens its season on Friday afternoon against No. 8 Michigan State.
Broadcast details for the contest are still to be determined.
