Notre Dame-Clemson II | Coaches Corner

We have an exciting new feature for our ISD subscribers for the ACC Championship Game this afternoon.

We’ve assembled an impressive group of coaches who will be watching Notre Dame-Clemson to share their observations with you in real-time in a thread on our Premium Members Board.

We’re granting them anonymity, allowing them to offer completely unvarnished opinions without putting them in any uncomfortable positions down the road. The majority of these coaches have some sort of connection with Notre Dame’s current roster, but not all.

Our own ISD expert Jamie Uyeyama will be participating and quarterbacking this in a sense and we have CoachSting back, who you’ll remember from this offseason’s Inside The Headset Series. Some of the other names you would recognize, some you wouldn’t.

The exact names aren’t important, but their credentials are. We have a wide range of coaches whose success spans all levels.

We have head coaches and assistant coaches from high-level high schools across the country. We have some current college assistants and guys with experience in the NFL as both players and coaches as well as some of the most sought-after individual position coaches in the country.

Many of the coaches are deeply familiar with Notre Dame’s roster and scheme while others were actually part of gameplanning against Clemson as recently as this year. Still some others will be coming in with relatively fresh eyes.

They’ll be working in real-time off the same TV copy as you, which will make it impossible for them to see and digest everything the way they would from examining All-22 film after the fact.

Still, this group of coaches along with Jamie will be able to offer insight the average fan may not pick up on while watching.

We don’t have a set format or instructions for the coaches other than to share any particular observations they feel are interesting. Coaches are welcome to engage in back-and-forth discussions with one another - although even they don’t know the identities of their colleagues - or simply post their individual insights.

And we invite you to keep an eye on it all throughout the game.

We’re going to keep that thread just to the coaches, but feel free to drop any questions you may have below and I’ll do my best to bring them over to that thread to see if any coach has an answer.
