Notre Dame RB Kyren Williams Named ACC Rookie of The Year
Notre Dame didn't exactly know what it had at the running back position entering the season, but it's safe to say it didn't take long to find out.
Redshirt freshman Kyren Williams rushed for 1,061 yards and 12 touchdowns this fall and added another accomplishment on Wednesday.
The ACC has announced Williams as the Rookie of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year, which is voted on by the league’s 15 head coaches and a 49-member select media panel.
Williams earned ACC weekly awards five times this season while also being named second-team All-ACC and honorable mention as an All-Purpose player.
In addition to his rushing totals, Williams recorded 27 receptions for 282 yards and one score.
According to Notre Dame, Williams led all FBS freshmen in rushing touchdowns, total touchdowns and rushing yards.
Williams also finished 10th nationally in rushing yards.
