While the focus is solely on Alabama and Friday’s College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Rose Bowl, Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly understands he needs to act fast when it comes to finding Clark Lea’s replacement as Irish defensive coordinator.

“Obviously, there's some competitiveness involved in this,” Kelly said on Thursday.
