Notre Dame LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Declares for NFL Draft

The 2020 Butkus Award winner has officially declared for the 2021 NFL Draft. 

Notre Dame linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah made his decision official today as he'll forgo his fifth-year in South Bend. 

The Virginia native flashed at times in 2019 as a first-year starter with 80 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks. It led Owusu-Koramoah into an impressive 2020 where he had 62 tackles, 11.0 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, one interception, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

For his efforts in 2020, Owusu-Koramoah was not only named the Butkus Award winner, but the ACC Defensive Player of the Year by the AP and first team All-ACC by the conference. 

In two years as the starting rover, Owusu-Koramoah recorded 142 tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss, 7.0 sacks,  seven passes defended, five fumbles forced, four fumble recoveries and one interception.
