Former Coach Calls New Notre Dame DC Marcus Freeman "Student of the Game"

It seems like the pipeline from Wayne High School to Notre Dame is already open, at least for coaches.

Now, Wayne head coach Roosevelt Mukes will look to open it to his players.

One year after former Wayne player Mike Mickens took a job as the Irish’s cornerbacks coach, his former high school teammate, Marcus Freeman, became Notre Dame’s defensive coordinator.

A Wayne graduate himself, Mukes was an assistant coach when both Mickens and Freeman were high-schoolers.
