ISD Video | 2023 QB Pop Watson Talks Recruiting & Notre Dame

Pop Watson‍ has yet to play his second season of high school football, but the 2023 Massachusetts quarterback already owns an extremely impressive offer sheet.

The Springfield Central High School star holds offers from Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee, Boston College, Pittsburgh and UMass.

The 6-foot, 178-pounder went down to Florida last month to participate in NextGen’s The Show with some of the top players in America and took home Team MVP honors.

Watson is on the Irish’s recruiting board for the Class of 2023, although it isn’t exactly clear where.

But Watson is clear about the fact that Notre Dame is one school he’d take a seriously look at.

As a freshman, Watson led Central to state titles in football and basketball. High school sports were delayed in Massachusetts because of the COVID-19 crisis, so Watson will have a busy winter/spring schedule with both sports packed into the calendar.
