Things moved pretty quickly between Notre Dame and Cooper Barkate.
Irish recruiting coordinator Brian Polian spoke with the 2022 California prospect on Tuesday.
“He said they were super interested in me,” the 6-foot-1, 190-pounder from Mater Dei says. “He told me that he was going to meet with the defensive staff (Wednesday) morning and discuss me and discuss an offer.”
On Wednesday evening, Polian and Barkate spoke again.
