2022 Governor Mifflin (Pa.) running back Nicholas Singleton‍ is known for running, but this spring, the four-star prospect has done it on the track.

The 6-foot, 215-pounder recently ran a 10.8 in the 100m and will look to move on in the state relays on Thursday.

"It's been going well," Singleton told ISD. "I've been doing track and working out. Spring ball is going to start tomorrow, but I can't go because I'd miss districts."

Singleton has seen and talked about everything a recruit can over the last few months with every school as it relates to recruiting.

June will be a busy month for Singleton as he'll take official visits to Alabama, Notre Dame, Penn State and Wisconsin, which will lead him into a July decision.

"I want to see more of the campuses and spend time with the coaches and players," stated Singleton. "I want to get to experience college life. That's really it. I want to have a good time."

Penn State has gained momentum in the last six months and Singleton will return to Happy Valley on June 11th.

"They've been telling me I'm an in-state player and about the running backs they've been producing," explained Singleton. "Most of the running backs that are good and going to the NFL are from PA. They're telling me I'll be the next PA running back that's really good."

Notre Dame has been in consistent contact and Lance Taylor has continued to build a strong relationship with the Singleton family.

"They've been telling me that I can be the guy that comes in and makes an impact for the team and be a part of a good team," said Singleton.

Singleton recently took part in a Zoom presentation about Notre Dame's plans to help its players with Name, Imagine and Likeness.

It left a positive impression.

"I just did that presentation," Singleton explained. "I always knew Notre Dame had the biggest brand. They've been telling me about it and I really loved it. It was a really good presentation."

And yes, Singleton did see the billboards pop up all over the country.

"I saw the billboards they did with the running backs," stated Singleton. "It was really nice."

2022 Notre Dame commit Steve Angeli has also been working on Singleton in recent weeks.

"I've in contact with Steve (Angeli)," Singleton said. "We're supposed to go on our official visit too."
