Notre Dame WR Jay Brunelle Entering The Portal

Notre Dame is about to be down another wide receiver as sources tell Irish Sports Daily that sophomore-to-be Jay Brunelle will be entering the Transfer Portal.

The Massachusetts native enrolled at Notre Dame in January of 2020, but was unable to capitalize on the benefits in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.

Injuries hampered his ability to make a serious move up the depth chart during preseason camp last summer and this year’s spring practice.

Brunelle earned an offer from Notre Dame after a tremendous performance at Irish Invasion the summer before his senior year at St. John’s High School.

He eventually chose the Irish over offers from Michigan, UCLA and several others.

No indications of what the 6-foot-1, 200-pounder’s next stop may be.
