2023 CB Jack Tchienchou "Loved" First Notre Dame Experience
Jack Tchienchou was excited to get his first look at Notre Dame for Sunday’s Irish Invasion and the 2023 Georgia cornerback was not disappointed.
“I loved it,” the 5-foot-10, 170-pounder told Irish Sports Daily afterward.
“The campus was amazing. It was beautiful. They were very open about religion, which I love. A lot of the streets are named after a bunch of religious things. My mom's also going to love that.”
The St. Pius X standout said he will “for sure, definitely” be back in South Bend in the fall.
He called the time he spent with cornerbacks coach Mike Mickens and safeties coach Chris O’Leary “great.”
“Coach Mickens, it was great meeting him,” Tchienchou said. “I want to get back there in the fall to see him again. I met Coach O'Leary. He was running most of the drills. He was cool.”
Tchienchou, who has an early offer from Wisconsin, enjoyed the camp setting as well.
“It was just fun to be out there and compete,” he said. “I looked pretty good in the drills. I thought I was pretty good getting in and out of my brakes.”
The coaches said they’re hoping to get the chance to get down to Atlanta this season to see him in person.
And Tchienchou is already planning his return to get back and see the Irish in person.
“I want to truly get a feel for the atmosphere with the players there and just the live feeling of a game with all the fans in the stands,” he said. “I just want to get a true feeling for it.”
He already got a taste of it this weekend.
“It's a very energetic atmosphere,” Tchienchou said. “All the coaches bring energy 24/7. From the beginning of the camp to the end of practice, there was energy all the way through. I just loved it.”
Next up for him is a camp at Duke next Saturday.
