2023 Lee's Summit North (Mo.) offensive lineman Cayden Green‍ wasted little time making his first visit to Notre Dame after adding an offer from the Irish just 19 days ago.

The 6-foot-5, 300-pounder will be the first to tell you he didn't know too much about Notre Dame, but he left impressed with what he saw on Monday afternoon.

"I had a lot of fun," Green told ISD. "Going into it, I didn't know what to expect. We got to meet all of the staff and they were all quality men. They seemed very genuine.

"The facilities and campus were beautiful. I really enjoyed it."

The four-star prospect saw Notre Dame's famous landmarks around campus and he enjoyed learning about them as well.

"It was cool," stated Green. "I didn't know anything about them, but it was cool to learn about the tradition."

Green spent a ton of time with Notre Dame offensive line coach Jeff Quinn. It was the first time they had met face-to-face and it went well.

"On the phone, it's hard to get a read on people," said Green. "You can kind of get an idea, but with Coach Quinn, he was the same way on the phone as in person."

In addition to getting to know each other, Quinn took time to turn on some tape to show Green how he coaches and looks for in an offensive lineman.

"We watched some film," stated Green. "He's a guy who loves people who finish their blocks and play through the whistle. He showed us a lot of different stuff - run blocking, reach blocking, down blocking and pass sets."

Head coach Brian Kelly also met with Green during the trip.

"He seemed like a guy who is what you see is what you get," stated Green. "He's genuine, authentic and fun to talk to."

Green also met with ace recruiter and freshman offensive lineman Blake Fisher during his visit.

"I had lunch with Blake," Green said. "He's funny and a cool dude. He's a big guy. He seems like a good quality dude too. It just shows the type of players Notre Dame recruits."

Green will now head to Georgia and then make two other stops this month.

"I'll be at Georgia on Thursday and Friday," explained Green. "We'll fly out to Oklahoma City and drive down to Norman for the ChampU BBQ on Saturday. We'll be at Iowa on the 25th."

As for Notre Dame, Green was impressed and plans to return to South Bend.

"I definitely will be back," said Green.
