2023 DE Mathias Barnwell, Family Blown Away By Notre Dame

Mathias Barnwell‍ had high expectations coming into his unofficial visit to Notre Dame on Thursday and they were exceeded.

The 2023 Virginia defensive end’s mother, Shanna Barnwell, may have had even higher expectations coming into the trip and those too were surpassed.

“Absolutely breathtaking,” the 6-foot-5, 240-pounder told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “The campus was beautiful. Everybody truly got together well.
