2024 LB Andrew Hines III Recaps Notre Dame Visit
Andrew Hines III’s recruitment is off to a fast start and the 2024 Georgia linebacker was in South Bend on Saturday to check out Notre Dame.
“The visit went great,” the Woodward Academy standout said. “The game went great. Notre Dame won in the fourth quarter, very exciting game.”
The College Park, Ga., native had a chance to tour one side of campus.
“We walked around the athletic complex, inside the stadium, the locker room, the indoor facilities, the weight room, the Gug,” he said. “We got to meet the coaches and we got to watch the Player Walk.
“I thought it was a great experience.”
The 6-foot-1, 205-pounder already has offers from Vanderbilt, Louisville, Tennessee and Middle Tennessee.
“It's really humbling knowing that I can get offers like that from those big schools at a young age, but it just means I've got to keep improving and getting better so I can get more from the rest of the country,” he said.
The Notre Dame coaches certainly want to stay in contact.
“I got their phone number and they said they liked what they've seen and that they want me to keep in touch,” he said.
“I was glad when I heard they were there looking at me. I really like the school. It's a great academic school and a great athletic school. They're great in academics and they're a powerhouse football team.”
Hines said he would “most definitely” like to come back.
“I'd like to see the whole campus, not just athletics part of it, see more of the actual school. I'd like to have more time to talk to the coaches.”
He’s planning to hit up Florida State soon.
