Semaj Morgan‍ had never been to Notre Dame before, but after checking it out for the Irish’s game against Purdue on Saturday, the 2023 Michigan wide receiver said, “It was definitely worth the wait.”

“It was real nice,” West Bloomfield High School standout said. “I liked how everything was so organized.

“When we walked through the campus, every building looked the same. Everything looked brand new and everything was nice.”

Morgan’s early offer sheet includes schools like Michigan, Ole Miss, Missouri and Memphi among others.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder had the chance to speak with Irish wide receivers coach Del Alexander during the trip.

“He was excited about the game today,” said Morgan. “He couldn't really talk long because he had to go make his rounds to other people, but he was excited about the game today and he was excited to see me there.”

Morgan also enjoyed the game.

“It was a great game,” he said. “As I was watching the game, I thought me and #3 (Avery Davis) play just alike.”

He has several other trips coming up, including stops at Purdue, Ole Miss, Cincinnati and West Virginia among others, but he could find his way back to South Bend soon.

“I'm just going to keep the communication up and keep producing on the field,” he said.

“I think I want to go to the USC game.”
