2024 ATH Caleb Williams Enjoys Notre Dame Stop
Caleb Williams had the chance to get a look at Notre Dame this past weekend and the 2024 Michigan athlete was impressed.
“It was a really good environment,” the 5-foot-11, 160-pounder told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “I really liked it.
“I got to go on field early and stay on the sidelines during warmups and everything. I met a lot of the recruitment people. We went in the locker room for a little bit. It was really cool.”
The defensive back/receiver/specialist enjoyed watching Notre Dame’s win over Purdue.
“I thought it was good,” he said. “I think they really turned it up at the end. The culture there was definitely impressive with the student section and the band and everything.”
The Canton High School standout didn’t get a chance to speak with any of the defense back coaches afterward, but knows he has time to do so in the future and is hoping to do just that.
“I'd love to come back, see another game, head up to camps as much as I can and just try to build a connection with the Notre Dame staff and the school in general,” he said.
Williams has an early offer from Tennessee, but understands it’s still early.
“It's a pretty cool thing, but if anything, it just drives me more because once you get that first one, you just want another one and another one,” he said. “Just because I've got that offer now doesn't mean that I necessarily got it when I'm a senior and the time comes.
“I've still got to keep getting better and everything. I've still got to stay hungry and keep working.
He’s planning trips this fall to Knoxville along with Cincinnati, Michigan and Michigan State.
