Jaden Hart‍ was looking forward to Saturday’s trip to Notre Dame for the Irish’s game against Cincinnati and the 2024 Indiana running back was not disappointed.

“It went very well,” Hart told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “I got a good experience of the atmosphere of the whole program and got to speak to Coach (Lance) Taylor.”

The Michigan City native was excited for the chance to reconnect with Taylor after camping in South Bend this summer.

“Coach Taylor had a lot good to say,” the 6-foot, 190-pounder said. “We were really just catching up. He watched some of my film and was just looking for seeing the rest of my film this season.”

Hart, who already has offers from Purdue, Iowa State, Minnesota and Syracuse, has a very high opinion of Taylor.

“Coach Taylor is one of the most high-character coaches I've ever met or talked to,” he said. “He's a very nice person and a good coach to just be around.”

The atmosphere for the game also impressed the Michigan City High School standout.

“We sat in the student section, so that was pretty cool, just seeing how the students interacted with the players and everything,” said Hart.

The game didn’t turn out the way Irish fans hoped with Notre Dame losing to Cincinnati, 24-13.

“I felt like they had a couple good moments, but a lot of the time, they just didn't take the opportunity to take the game over,” he said.

He doesn’t have trips to any other schools planned at this point, but does have a return date to South Bend circled.

“I'll be taking another visit for the USC game in three weeks,” he said.

Hart is hoping to see much of the same as well as one thing he missed on Saturday.

“Watching The Walk because this year they finally brought it back because of COVID. I didn't get to do that, so that's one of the things that I'll be looking forward to seeing.”
