Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly spoke for the final time before Saturday's game against Virginia Tech. 

On health of TE Michael Mayer: 
"We've added to his workload. When I say workload, I mean in terms of what we want him to do for us because we're managing him so we can get him to Saturday so he can play at the level he's capable of playing at. We've a little bit each day.
