2023 S Jaden Milliner-Jones Enjoys Notre Dame Experience

When Notre Dame reached out to Jaden Milliner-Jones‍ about potentially coming up to South Bend for a game this Fall, the 2023 Texas safety took the Irish up on the invite.

“It's somewhere different, somewhere far and I just had to get out there to see how it was,” said Milliner-Jones, who made the trip up for Notre Dame’s game against Cincinnati earlier this month.

“It was amazing,” he said. “We got a chance to meet the fans, the coaches, and see how it was.

“The atmosphere around campus, there was a lot of great energy and a lot of nice people for sure. The facilities were nice. The indoor facility where they eat at and the field was amazing.”

The atmosphere inside the stadium also made quite an impression.

“Very loud,” the DeSoto High School standout said. “The game was amazing. I just wish that Notre Dame could have won.

“I tried to visualize myself making plays to see what I can could have done for the team.”

It’s a system the 5-11, 195-pounder could see himself in.

“I like their safety, Kyle Hamilton, he can fit himself in for the run and he could cover,” he said.

Milliner-Jones has early offers from schools like Mississippi State, SMU, Kansas, UConn and Marshall among others.

“Very blessed and very happy that colleges would take their time and invest into me,” he said.

While in town, he had the chance to speak with a couple staff members, including Director of Recruiting Aaryn Kearney.

“They just said they'd keep watching my film and that I'm a great player,” Milliner-Jones said. “They were nice. They were chill, nice people to talk to. I liked their energy and how happy they were to see me.

“I’m going to keep building my connection with the coaches, talk to them every now and then, almost every day and just keep in contact and hopefully get a chance to go to another game.”
