Syncere Safeeullah‍ has a couple SEC offers already and the 2023 Tennessee cornerback got a peek at Notre Dame earlier this month for the Irish’s game against Cincinnati.

“It went pretty good,” the 6-foot-2, 175-pounder said afterward. “It was a great atmosphere. I really liked the game.”

The Hillsboro High School standout got a tour of the athletic side of campus and met the Irish’s Director of Recruiting.

“I got to put on a jersey, put on a helmet, ride in a golf cart and got to stand down on the field,” he said. “I talked to Aaryn Kearney. I was just introducing myself and talking about the process.”

The feedback he received was positive.

“They wanted me to come to the game and they really like me,” he said. “It's very exciting because they're one of the top colleges in the nation.”

Safeeeullah, who has early offers from Ole Miss and Kentucky, was impressed despite the Irish’s loss.

“Notre Dame played hard,” he said. “It's a really good school with good facilities and a place I could see myself at.”

Safeeeullah plans to continue hitting the road in the weeks to come and definitely wants to stay in touch with the Irish staff and potentially return to South Bend in the summer.
