Hoops | Preseason All-ACC Poll & Teams Announced

October 19, 2021

The ACC has released a few preseason honors and predictions following last week's ACC Tipoff in Charlotte.

There weren't too many surprises in the preseason poll and it starts with Duke being the favorite to win the ACC in Mike Krzyzewski's final season as head coach.

Notre Dame basketball seems to have more respect entering this season as the Fighting Irish are predicted to finish No. 8 in the ACC.

(First-place votes in parentheses and Points)

The Irish were likely a little disrespected as Notre Dame got just one player on the preseason All-ACC teams.

Point guard Prentiss Hubb was named to All-ACC Second Team after averaging 14.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 5.8 assists and shot 39.2 percent from the field as a junior.

There could have been an argument made for Nate Laszewski to sneak in as well after he averaged 13.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and shot 43.4 percent from three-point range a year ago.
