Notre Dame quarterback Brendon Clark has entered the Transfer Portal following a year of working to get healthy following a setback from a previous ACL injury.

Clark seems to be on the right path in terms of health as Brian Kelly mentioned the 6-foot-2, 225-pounder had started to have a larger role in practice during the bye week.

“Brendon Clark, we're trying to get ready, too,” said Kelly. “Most of our seven-on-seven reps against our defense during the bye week, we gave to Brendon Clark because we're trying to get the rust off of him and get him back.”

The junior quarterback saw action in two games as a freshman and one game as a sophomore in 2020.

Clark completed 2-of-5 passes for 29 yards and one touchdown while rushing six times for 29 yards in his three appearances for the Fighting Irish.

The Virginia native committed to Notre Dame in July of 2018 after decommitting from Wake Forest a month earlier. The Irish also beat out Clemson, Duke, Maryland, North Carolina and Tennessee for the former three-star prospect.

As always, a player can enter the Transfer Portal and remove his name at any time.
