2024 TE Jack Larsen Enjoys Notre Dame Return

Jack Larsen‍ was back in South Bend again this weekend after visiting Notre Dame in the summer and once again, the 2024 North Carolina tight end was impressed.

“It was awesome,” the Charlotte Catholic High School standout told Irish Sports Daily. “I loved it. It was definitely cool to be there for a game, my first game was awesome, really good environment. Really good time.

“I got there and I went to the indoor facility with all the recruits. Then, I went over to the Player Walk, which was pretty cool hearing the bagpipes and stuff was awesome. Then, we went back and we got some food and went into the stadium for warm-ups. It was cool seeing the tight ends work out and get ready. Then, I went back to our seats and just watched the game. It was a great game.”

Larsen was impressed with the atmosphere surrounding the game and the game itself.

“I loved it, great atmosphere, good win,” he said. “It was awesome, great experience.

“I saw they were trying to get it to (tight end Michael) Mayer a bunch, which was really good to see.”

Larsen also had the opportunity to reconnect with Notre Dame tight ends coach John McNulty.

“When we were in the indoor facility, I talked to him for a while,” he said. “He said he's been watching some of my highlights. He's saying he's going to try to come down to Catholic in either December or January when he's on the road going different places.

“He's a great person, very easy to talk to. Obviously, he's got a ton of coaching experience. I'm just glad we got to start a relationship early.”

Larsen, who has early offers from North Carolina, North Carolina State and South Carolina, is planning on returning to South Bend down the road.

“Probably trying to make it up when I can. It's kind of hard during the schoolyear, but maybe next summer try to make it up there. But kind of just see how everything plays out.”

Next up, he has stops at Virginia Tech and NC State.
