Ryan Mickow‍ made the trip up to South Bend this past weekend for Notre Dame’s game against North Carolina and the 2023 Florida offensive lineman left impressed.

“It was good,” the 6-foot-5, 275-pounder said. “I got to see the football facilities, the locker room, the Stadium of course and meet with some of the coaches.”

Irish offensive line coach Jeff Quinn was the coach he spoke to most.

“He just asked me about my season and then we talked about the game and the environment and stuff like that,” Mickow said of Quinn. “He's a cool coach from what I saw.”

The Saint Thomas Aquinas standout already has offers from Miami, Ole Miss, Maryland and Syracuse.

He was extremely impressed with the atmosphere inside Notre Dame Stadium.

“I loved it,” said Mickow. “I loved standing next to the student section and sitting with them and the environment of how many people were there.”

He was also impressed with the way the Irish performed in their 44-34 win over North Carolina.

“They played great,” he said. “The offense did great and the running back, #23 (Kyren Williams), went off.”

Mickow said he “would love” to return to South Bend for another visit.

“The next step would probably be seeing the next time I can come up here or talking with more of the coaches and building a connection,” he said.

As for his immediate visit plans, he’s looking at potential trips to Ole Miss, Mississippi State or Pittsburgh.

“I might have one next week or the week after that, I've got to see how my schedule works out because I have a bye week and I might have a bye week the first weekend of the playoffs. I've just got to figure that out.”
