2024 TE Luca Puccinelli Talks Notre Dame Stop
Luca Puccinelli called his first visit to South Bend earlier this month “amazing.”
“The crowd was great,” the 2024 Virginia tight end told Irish Sports Daily.
“Everything was great, great game. I had a lot of fun.”
The 6-foot-7, 220-pounder has an early from Virginia Tech.
He was impressed with everything he saw at Notre Dame when he traveled to town for the Irish’s game against Navy.
“First, we got lunch in the in the indoor facility and then we walked over and got to see the players come in in all the suits,” the Benedictine standout said. “That was cool to experience.
“Then, we went back, got some most food. After that, we just went to the game, had a good time. At halftime, they had some food for us, so that was good. It was good to just see them win the game.”
He had the chance to speak with a couple Notre Dame staff members during the trip.
“I talked to the tight ends coach and the d-line coach,” he said, referring to John McNulty and Mike Elston, respectively.
“The coaches are great.”
And they’d like to see him again.
“The coaches invited me back to watch a spring practice and spend time with the players and get to know them,” said Puccinelli.
He made one trip prior to the stop in South Bend and has his eyes on a couple others.
“I went to Virginia Tech a few weeks ago against Notre Dame,” he said.
“I plan to go to South Carolina versus Clemson on the 27th at South Carolina. And maybe UNC on the 20th.”
