After cementing his pledge earlier in the week, 2022 California linebacker Junior Tuihalamaka is looking forward to spending one more weekend in South Bend before arriving for good.

Even before Marcus Freeman made his way to the West Coast earlier this week, Niuafe Tuihalamaka‍ expressed sincere excitement about Freeman’s promotion to Notre Dame head coach.

“We are coming for that National Championship,” the 2022 Irish linebacker commit told Irish Sports Daily when news of Freeman’s hiring first began to leak.

On Tuesday, Freeman and some Irish assistants made it to California to visit with Tuihalamaka and his family.
