Notre Dame Extends Link Jarrett Through 2026

Notre Dame baseball coach Link Jarrett has a new contract and it's much deserved following the Super Regional appearance earlier this year.

Jarrett signed an extension on Thursday to stay at Notre Dame through the 2026 season.

“When I reflect on my first two years at Notre Dame, I most often think of the dedication I witnessed from our players, assistant coaches, director of operations and entire support staff,” said Jarrett in a statement. “The ability of all involved to grasp a completely new system, apply it and execute was awesome.”

The Fighting Irish baseball program has ascended in the two years Jarrett has been in South Bend and it was a no-brainer for Notre Dame Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick to extend the head skipper.

Jarrett has led the Irish to a 45-15 record and the Super Regional appearance since 2022, which led to him being named the ACC Coach of the Year, D1 Baseball Coach of the Year and ABCA Midwest Region Coach of the Year.

“The players on our team, and quite frankly every Notre Dame team, show relentless commitment to academic and athletic excellence,” Jarrett stated in the statement. “It is inspiring to be a part of this culture. I am thankful that Jack Swarbrick and Jody Sadler offered me the opportunity to coach at Notre Dame and I look forward to many more years at this special institution with amazing people.”

If you missed it last month, ISD’s John Brice spoke exclusively with Jarrett for a two-part series:
