SAN ANTONIO – Fredrick Moore‍ came here with something to prove and the 2023 St. Louis wide receiver pretty much proved it at the National Underclassmen Combine here on Friday.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder was the standout receiver among the early group of prospects, repeatedly beating defensive backs with an array of routes while flashing impressive ball skills at the end of virtually ever rep.

The Cardinal Ritter standout currently has offers from Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, Maryland, Arkansas and Arkansas State.

He’s received preliminary interest from several other schools as well, including Notre Dame. He visited South Bend for the Cincinnati game in October.

“It was one of my first visits,” Moore said. “I think it was a pretty good game. I liked watching the game. It was like a slow-paced game because nobody really scored, but when they scored, I liked the energy of the crowd. The environment was incredible.”

Former Notre Dame wide receivers coach Del Alexander had been Moore’s point of contact, but he remains interested in the Irish and his coach tells him the feeling mutual.

Moore would “most definitely” return to South Bend for a visit and would love the chance to see what it would be like as one of Notre Dame’s top targets.

He also visited Georgia, Illinois and Kansas last year and hopes to make stops at Georgia, Iowa and Iowa State as well in the coming months.

Moore is hoping to land in a pass-first offense with a talented quarterback where he can flourish.
