2023 CB Shelton Lewis Talks Notre Dame & More From Combine

It’s still relatively early in the recruiting process for Shelton Lewis‍, but the 2023 Georgia cornerback isn’t wasting any time.

Lewis took advantage of an invitation to Notre Dame for the USC game in October and left impressed.

“Great experience,” the Stockbridge High School standout told ISD from the National Underclassmen Combine in San Antonio last week.

“The environment was crazy, something I've never seen before.”

Lewis arrived on campus a little late because of travel.

“But when I came in, the people were greeting me and stuff like that,” he said. “The fans and everything I see with the program is just great.”

Lewis, who already has offers from Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh and Indiana, said he’d like to return to South Bend.

“Just to see how they run things overall,” he said.

He also made trips to Georgia Tech, Auburn, West Virginia and Cincinnati during the fall.

I went to West Virginia, Auburn Cincinnati and Georgia Tech.

In addition to Notre Dame, he’s hoping to return to West Virginia and would also like to check out Kentucky and the other schools he has offers from.

Lewis said he was hoping to connect with new people and put his name out there even further with a his combine performance and he certainly had notable moments against some of the top underclassmen in the country.
