Video | Notre Dame LB Bo Bauer Ready for Larger Role & Exciting Changes
Notre Dame linebacker Bo Bauer quickly decided to return for a fifth year and is centered around a couple of things. The opportunity to start at Mike was something Bauer wants to earn as Drew White has left the program as the two rotated in the role the past two seasons.
The Pennsylvania native also will be able to focus more on growing his game as he’ll be a graduate student and will be able to focus a little more on the athletic side of life during his final year in South Bend.
Bauer also discussed the excitement around the changes in the program with Marcus Freeman as the new head coach as the Irish look to move past the Fiesta Bowl and Ohio State on the horizon.
For his career, the 6-foot-2, 223-pounder has tallied 111 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and two interceptions, including 47 tackles, 1.5 sacks and one interception in 2021.
