Video | Notre Dame CB Jaden Mickey on Nickel, HS Competition & Committing Without Visiting
Notre Dame early enrollee cornerback Jaden Mickey made the rare decision of committing to the Irish without ever visiting.
It was an easy decision for Mickey as he knew what Notre Dame could do for him on and off the field.
Mickey is familiar with playing the nickel position and even embraces it as he knows the best receiver is often in the slot. He did admit he hasn't played much zone in the nickel, but he's more than ready to learn if need be.
The former Centennial (Calif.) star believes the competition he faced in high school has prepared him well for what he'll face in college. And speaking of that competition, Mickey is excited to face some of his former high school rivals who stayed on the West Coast.
Mickey also spoke about his first few weeks on campus and how attacking everything has been stressed by everyone in the Notre Dame program.
