2024 QB Ethan Minter Has Early Offers & Interest
The recruiting process started pretty early for Ethan Minter.
The 2024 Virginia quarterback picked up his first offer, from Marshall, last January and then followed that up with offers from Maryland and Virginia in April.
The 6-foot, 188-pounder has also been receiving interest from other schools as well.
“West Virginia's been showing some interest,” Minter said. “Liberty's followed, Penn State's followed. So, I'm hoping to visit those this summer and camp there.”
He already visited South Bend last fall for Notre Dame’s game against North Carolina.
“I loved it,” he said. “I loved the atmosphere. Obviously, they played a great game. I loved everything they had to offer there.
“With me being a sophomore, I can't directly contact them, so there hasn't really been any contact, but they were very welcoming at the visit and I would love to go back.”
Minter plays at Thomas Dale High School, the same school that produced current Irish running back Chris Tyree.
“I've heard that it's great,” said Minter. “They have great bonds there. They get along great with their teammates, their coaches.
“I love the standards. Of course, the campus and the stadium and everything is very high quality, but the standards that they hold their players to, not only football-wise and physically and academically, but I love all the standards that they have.”
Minter has an early idea of what he’s looking for in a college.
“I'm looking to major in Engineering,” he said.
“They have to have Engineering as an option, but also football-wise, a program that holds their players to high standards, but will also give me the opportunity to win and play at a very high level against the best.”
