2024 DB Jacob Oden Enjoys Notre Dame Return
Jacob Oden got another look at Notre Dame this weekend and once again, the 2024 Michigan defensive back was impressed.
Oden landed an offer from the Irish after a camp performance last summer and followed that up with a trip back down to South Bend for the game against Cincinnati.
The 6-foot-1, 187-pounder was looking forward to getting back to see more and wasn’t disappointed.
“It was good,” he told Irish Sports Daily. “I got to talk to some coaches and see around the campus.”
He spent time with safeties coach Chris O’Leary and cornerbacks coach Mike Mickens.
“They’re both cool, Coach O’Leary and Coach Mickens,” the Harper Woods High School standout said. ‘They’re both cool guys. I had a good time talking with them.”
Oden also has offers from schools like Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Kentucky among others.
He appreciated the chance to watch some film with O’Leary and Mickens.
“They said I could play any position if I came there,” said Oden. “It makes me feel pretty good, makes me feel like an elite player because I am. They see the talent I have.”
The coaches asked Oden to return again.
“They want me to come back down again,” he said. “I might come down for a game.
“I want to check out some of their facilities and stuff.”
The day before returning to South Bend, Oden was in Columbus checking out Ohio State.
“It was good,” he said. “I got to see a lot.”
Next up, he’ll be at Iowa in a few weeks.
