2023 OL Austin Siereveld Enjoys Latest Trip to Notre Dame
2023 Lakota East (Ohio) offensive lineman Austin Siereveld has been a fixture at Notre Dame over the last few months and made another trip to South Bend on Saturday.
The four-star prospect visited Ohio State last weekend and wanted to return to Notre Dame to meet with the staff, but also see the Irish offensive line in action at the Blue-Gold Game.
"It went amazing," Siereveld told ISD. "I really wanted to watch the spring game and to talk to Coach (Marcus Freeman) and Coach (Harry) Hiestand along with all the other guys."
After watching the Irish offensive line, Siereveld felt he saw schemes that fit his game and was impressed with how the big guys sucked it up during the 83-degree day.
"I could tell they were dying only having so many guys out there because of the heat,” explained Siereveld. “I talked to some of them before the game and they had never practiced in that heat because it had been 40-degree weather.
"I thought they did well."
Siereveld was able to mix it up with Notre Dame's commits and other offensive line targets, including Sullivan Absher and Monroe Freeling, but it was his conversation with Hiestand that left him thinking.
"It's coming down to knowing what school fits me and know how they are different," Siereveld. "And I have to pick the right one."
As far as a decision, Siereveld could make a commitment sooner than later.
"I'm not sure yet,” said Siereveld. “I'd like to make my decision soon, but if not, I'll take my official visits."
