2025 USC ATH Commit Jett White Discusses Notre Dame Offer, Summer Plans

2025 Orange (Calif.) athlete Jett White‍ didn’t take too long to make his commitment as USC offered on September 25th of last year and the California native committed to the Trojans the same day. 

The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder had always dreamed of playing for USC, but it also hasn’t stopped other programs from continuing to recruit the soon-to-be sophomore. 

Notre Dame offered White last week and it was a welcome surprise from the Orange star. 

"My coach texted me I got the offer,” White told ISD. I was really excited about it. It did catch me off guard. I didn't think I would get an offer from Notre Dame this early." 

White is listed as an athlete, but he projects to be a defensive back despite being electric with the ball in his hands. 

"I'll be playing defensive back,” stated White. “I feel I'm a better cornerback right now." 

The offseason has been filled with recruiting as White holds almost 30 offers, but don’t think that’s taken time away from him working on his craft. 

"The offseason has gone pretty good,” said White. “I've been focused on improving my technique." 

White also enjoys learning on his visits as he’s paid close attention to the instruction given by the coaches so he can improve his own game. 

"I'm really looking at how the coaches are coaching the players,” White explained. “I watch the defensive backs when they do drills to see what they're doing and how they do it."

In addition to USC, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, Notre Dame and Penn State are schools White says are recruiting him hard and he plans to get out and see a few of them this summer. 

“It feels really good,” White said of the early attention. “I'll be visiting Georgia, Georgia Tech, Texas, Texas A&M and I'm going to try to get to Notre Dame." 

And despite White going on visits, USC will be the team to beat as he already feels comfortable with Lincoln Riley and his staff. 

"It was my dream school growing up,” said White. “Being around those coaches, I feel very comfortable with them.
