2023 Notre Dame CB Target Micah Bell Excited For Announcement

Micah Bell‍ only took one official visit during the process, but the 2023 Texas cornerback took several unofficial visits as well.

Each trip forced Bell consider the respective school, sometimes making his decision even tougher. But ultimately, the visits helped make his decision clearer.

The Houston native will announce his final decision on Friday, and according to Bell, it’ll be just that…final.

The Kinkaid School standout took his lone official visit to Notre Dame earlier this month, but also took recent unofficials to Baylor and a pair to Houston.

“I could just see that they cared for me,” Bell said of the school he’ll be choosing on Friday. “They were really making their school look good, which I liked.”

The 5-foot-11, 165-pounder is looking forward to having the process behind him.

“Just getting this burden off my back is what I'm most excited about,” Bell told Irish Sports Daily. “You've just constantly got people hitting you up, people telling you where to go. It's just a lot.

“Then, you go to every single school and they always make a good case for their school, so you're just like, 'Should I go here? Should I go there?'”

Bell said he will shut down the process completely after Friday and won’t be entertaining other schools.

“I'm not one of those guys who's going to decommit and go somewhere else,” he said.

“Nah. The school I'm going to is like the school I'm going to be at.”

Bell is looking forward to putting his focus on his upcoming senior season.

The Irish are looking for their first cornerback commit in the Class of 2023 and are actually looking for their first two within the span of a couple days.

Bell will make his decision public on Friday while 2023 St. Louis cornerback Christian Gray‍ is set for an announcement on Monday.

Notre Dame is hoping to go two-for-two.
