Film Don't Lie | Micah Bell
When Notre Dame and Justyn Rhett parted ways, the coaching staff had to make sure they were able to fill that hole in the class. They immediately went out and offered Micah Bell.
A few months later, Bell is now a Notre Dame commit.
One of the fastest prospects in the country (10.41 100m), Bell shows electric ability with the ball in his hands and there’s plenty things to like about him as a defender as well.

National Average Grade: 93.1 (4-star)
What he does best:
Size might be a bit of a concern for Bell, but being physical is not. He’s not a “track guy”. He tackles well and shows good recognition on this play.
He’s someone who can match up in man coverage with that great speed and make plays on the ball in phase.
I see him as someone who can project to play the field or the nickel for the Irish. He can be a weapon as a blitzer like he is here making the play from the backside.
He has great change of direction skills and the instincts to really thrive covering slot receivers.
What he needs to improve:
He needs to improve his technique in press coverage. He’s not going to back down from being physical and he can turn and run with anyone, but once he learns to be under control with his feet a bit more he is going to be more effective.
What’s his ceiling?
My biggest question with Bell and why I don’t have him rated as high as some others despite the elite athleticism is his size. He’s not long and looks shorter than his listed height.
I really like him as a pure football player, though. That’s a big reason why my comparison for him is pre-injured version of Shaun Crawford, but faster.
He’s a super twitched up athlete with good instincts who I think can get in the mix early as a returner and has the tools to develop into a high-level nickel defender.
