2024 NY ATH Josiah Brown Excited For Notre Dame BBQ
Since being offered by Notre Dame back in March, 2024 New York athlete Josiah Brown has kept in touch with the Irish and has plans to be in South Bend later this month.
“I'll be there July 26th,” he told Irish Sports Daily.
The Holy Trinity High School star is excited about attending Notre Dame’s annual summer BBQ.
“I feel like it's going to be a lot of fun,” Brown said. “I believe I'm going to go on a tour to see what the campus is, so it should be good.”
He’s been high on the Irish since receiving the offer.
“Everything,” he said of what interests him.
“Notre Dame is a great, great academic and athletic school. I heard it is very great and beautiful out there, so it's a must-see place.”
He hopes to see it all when he gets there.
“I actually want to see everything, even like the academic centers and stuff,” the 6-foot-1, 175-pounder said. “I want to witness the great Notre Dame experience.”
He’s enjoyed the communication with both Chris O’Leary and Chad Bowden.
“It's been good contact, a lot of positive feedback,” said Brown. “I've just been working since.
“Chad is a very, very, very great person. He's a great leader, I can tell. He comes off very humble. Coach O'Leary is like the same person, great guy. I can tell he knows what he is doing when it comes to coaching. He's just a real-world person.”
Brown, who could play receiver or safety in college, also has offers from Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple, Penn State, Pitt, Michigan State and West Virginia.
He took one trip earlier this year and has a couple more planned following Notre Dame.
“I went up to Penn State earlier in the year. I should be up to Rutgers again, July 29th and I'm planning on going to Penn State, July 31st.”
