It’s been a busy couple months for Ian Moore‍.

After a June schedule that saw him hit Ohio State, Wisconsin and Alabama, the 2024 Indiana offensive lineman is back on the road for the only open period in the month of July.

The New Palestine High School standout was at Notre Dame’s BBQ event on Tuesday before heading to Nebraska and Iowa this weekend.

The 6-foot-6, 290-pounder made a quick visit to South Bend in April and was happy to return earlier this week.

“Trip was great,” he told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “Met a lot of great people and got to connect with a lot of coaches.

“I got to see the campus. I had to leave early last time so I didn’t have the opportunity to.”

Assistant Brian Mason recruits the state of Indiana for the Irish, so he showed Moore around. Moore also had the opportunity to speak with offensive line coach Harry Hiestand.

“I got to spend a lot of time with Coach Mason because he was our guide,” said Moore, noting there wasn’t an overall message to the trip, it was just about building relationships.

Moore picked up an offer from Ohio State after camping in Columbus last month to go with offers from schools like Penn State, Purdue, Wisconsin, Duke, North Carolina, Florida State, Miami and Nebraska among others.

The Irish are clearly interested, but aren’t quite ready to pull the trigger just yet.

“Coach Hiestand said he needed to see some of my season film and evaluate it,” Moore said.

The interest remains mutual as Moore said he’d like to continue visiting and building relationships.

“I want to come up for a game at some point, and I just want to connect with the coaches further.”
